Today we celebrate the women who had the courage to stand tall and strongand fight for Women's rights. Today the state of epidemic of GBV fills myheart with sadness. We need to try harder - We need to do better! Many women are raised with the concept of subservience, which requiressupressing who you are as a person and as a woman. The stereo-typical roleof wife and home maker and yet today we are also expected to managingcareer/ business as well. In Europe it has changed and men take as much ofthe responsibility of the home and children daily chores and it is much moreequal. Here the transition has not quite been made as we are still able tohave the privilege of affordable domestic help. Do you carry the disease to please? How much of your thoughts go towardsweighing the importance of what others think or the need of others likingyou and being included in the ladies tea/coffee/lunch or braais?A recent podcast I listened to really rang that bell for me.Whatever follows the I AM in thought and verbalisation is what will createthe reality of your life and what determines how you experience your everyday. It is what we invite into our life in the mind-set that we choose. I AM .... Looking so old - I AM still beautiful for my ageI AM.... Overweight - I AM adjusting to carrying a little extra in middleageI AM ..... Unfit and too lazy to train more - I AM going to gym regularlyand getting strongerI AM .... Anxious - I AM able to Trust and have FAITHI AM .... Depressed.... I AM so grateful for the life I have...I love life! This women's day celebrate the person you are despite your perceived shortcomings. Choose to feel beautiful. Choose to acknowledge what you do haveinstead of what you wish you had. You are needed exactly as and who youare. You are loved for who you are. You are beautiful! I wish you joyful insights on this Women's Day that you can share fromwithin, as the Woman you already are. Happy Women's day!!Life coaching is a practical outcome talk therapy.
