Light Bulb Moment

In the midst of all this uncertainty and fear mongering on social media, I have become aware of a constant uncomfortable feeling that sits like indigestion in my gut. The whole world seems unbalanced and simply insane. The impact on mental health of many individuals who in a ‘normal’ world would have coped, is now under severe pressure! Unexpected negative behaviour is the proof that all is not well.
Perhaps you have also reached a place where you just want all the noise to stop!! From somewhere deep inside my inner voice cries out - ENOUGH! Enough debating and fighting! Just stop all this insanity!
Crisis situations like the pandemic or the recent unrest may trigger closer to home unresolved issues.
Economic stress certainly does not help.
We need to make changes within ourselves and revise our views and our attitudes towards the reality of our world, but also more importantly, to each other. Some call it GROWING UP!! Emotional maturity requires effort and input - “doing the work” – and it all depends on you.
A light goes on when you realize it's time to stop hoping and waiting for something or someone to change … or for happiness, safety and security or stability to come galloping over the next horizon on a white horse.
When we finally accept that we can’t control people, situations and outcomes and we need to allow individuals to take responsibility for their own choices – we may begin to feel lighter. “Live and Let Live” – and then “Let Go and Let God”.
Seeking help is not a weakness. It takes courage and strength of character to face yourself.
