Women’s day 2021 – I present you with a gift!

Calling on all women to reflect and answer truthfully: “Where on your to do list is taking care and nurturing yourself”? For most women it will probably be right at the bottom or not even on the list at all. The concept of “you can’t give that which you don’t have” applies here.

In our busy daily routines – wife/mother/daughter/friend/business/home – when do we find time to pay attention to what you need as a women?

Self-Care is VERY under rated. Without taking care of ourselves we systematically become depleted and eventually run on an empty tank. We may experience health issues or mental/emotional imbalances, anger out bursts or depression or simply feel exhausted all the time.

INFORMAL WORKSHOPS TO THE RESCUE!!

At a casual ladies tea workshops we will explore and bring awareness to our self-neglect. Here we will commune as women. This was a part of life in the old ways. Women used to wash clothing in the rivers or harvest or plant together and talk, advise and support one another. Today we are living solitary and busy lives – always on the run! Our women spirits are in need of female community and sharing of ourselves and quench our own thirst for nurturing.

At these casual workshops we will laugh and learn not to take ourselves too seriously and remind ourselves to have empathy and none judgement to self.

Invite your circle of friends to your home. Everyone brings a small plate of eats and donates R100 for the ‘workshop’. This will be given to a charity of the hostess’s choice who also chooses the theme of the ‘tea’. The intention is to keep it light hearted yet learning something about the value of being a woman and coping with the expectations to be super woman every day.

Theme examples (you make up your own): Worthiness and Belonging / Self Compassion/ Authentically Me / Boundaries to protect Me / The difference between Happiness and Joy /Trusting myself & letting go of Control and many more
